BISHOP TERENCE DRAINEY’S VISIT

On Wednesday 11th July Bishop Drainey and his secretary Father Philip joined us to see all the work the children have been doing over the past year.

The afternoon started with the School council showing our visitors around the school. After lunch with the staff and governors, several Year 6 children then led a beautiful collective worship. The Bishop and Fr Philip then visited each class to speak with the children individually. The children then led a special whole school assembly where they displayed the work that they had done recently. The day finished with refreshments with parents who wanted to come in and meet our guests.

It was a wonderful afternoon and it was lovely to see the children speaking so happily and confidently with the Bishop and Fr Philip.

The Bishop and Fr Philip have both asked me to pass on their thanks to the school community for a special afternoon.
