Very well done to the Year 5 and 6 children who represented St Joseph’s at the North Yorkshire Football Finals.
The children played 3 games in the group round, winning two and drawing one. They then qualified for the semi-finals. A very tight and exciting game, which end 0:0, extra time couldn’t separate the teams. Penalties couldn’t find a winner. Sadly we lost out on sudden death penalties. The team who beat us went on to win the tournament.
To be one of the best for footballing (in Small schools North Yorkshire), and so nearly the best(!), is a great achievement. Well done to Oliver A, Lily-May, Phoebe G, Peter, Chloe, Archie, Aleisha, Buddy, Jack and Harmarni. We are very proud of your achievement as a team.
